Possessing nearly two decades of experience as a forensic pathologist, Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. holds active medical licenses in California and Florida, an inactive license in Colorado, and certification from the Drug Enforcement Administration. Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. is skilled in the practices and procedures of a coroner’s office and maintains a professional presence in a number of associations in his field, including the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the College of American Pathologists, and the National Association of Medical Examiners. Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. has taught courses, developed academic fellowships, and authored publications on topics in forensic pathology.

Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. launched his career in forensic pathology with Yosemite Pathology Medical Group, Inc. in Modesto, California, where he served as Associate Pathologist. Two years later Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. accepted a position with Delta Pathology Associates in Stockton, California, for which he functioned as a Forensic Pathologist. From there, Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. transitioned to forensic pathology within the judicial system, where he became an Associate Medical Examiner for the 14th Judicial District in Panama City, Florida. Demonstrating a keen ability to execute his duties, Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. was later promoted to Chief Medical Examiner for the 7th and 24th Judicial Districts in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Turning his attention to academia, Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. joined Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. As Director of the Division of Forensic Pathology, Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. managed the day-to-day operations of the office. Also acting as an Assistant Professor within the Department of Pathology, Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. initiated an accredited fellowship in forensic pathology. Currently, Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. operates as the Forensic Pathologist for Kern County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner in Bakersfield, California.

In addition to the medical licenses he has acquired, Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. possesses certification in forensic pathology and anatomic and clinical pathology from the American Board of Pathology as well as certification as an Expert Reviewer for the California Medical Board. Thomas R. Beaver, M.D. has published articles in The American Journal of Cardiology, The Journal of Infectious Diseases, and the Journal of Clinical Apheresis.
